Our STORY
A Journey Through Craft & Culture
Our Story
Founded in 2014 by Alison Legge and Christopher Noto, Elan Atelier was born from a passion for handcrafted materials and soulful design. Blending time-honored techniques with a global design perspective, Elan creates furniture, lighting, and objets d’art that celebrate understated luxury, cultural nuance, and refined craftsmanship.
Inspired by their experiences across Southeast Asia, Europe, and the U.S., Alison and Christopher bring a joyful energy and deep production knowledge shaped by collaborations with design icons such as Jaya Ibrahim, Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, and Aman.
Working with noble materials like bronze, shagreen, parchment, and gesso, Elan transforms natural textures into sculptural forms — embracing patina, imperfection, and the slow pursuit of excellence. The atelier is also a platform for collaboration, inviting artists and designers to share in its vision.
As part of our evolution, we are committed to sustainability — from natural upholstery solutions to partnerships with nonprofits — reimagining what luxury means in a more conscious world.
Our Vision
We believe true luxury is not just about beauty—it’s about intention, authenticity, and longevity. Our vision is to create heirloom-quality pieces that transcend fleeting trends, inviting a deeper connection between object and owner.
With a focus on responsibly sourced materials and ethical production, we are dedicated to preserving artisanal traditions while innovating for a more sustainable future. Whether through custom collaborations or our signature collections, Elan Atelier remains a platform for creativity, craftsmanship, and enduring design.
